Frequently asked questions

Will I have health insurance?

No, BattleCreek will not provide health insurance to interns. As an intern, you have two options to consider when it comes to health insurance. You can stay on your parent’s health insurance plan (if applicable) or you can purchase your own plan through a private insurance company. You can talk to our Human Resources team and ask them for suggestions on purchasing your own health insurance plan if you are unsure about your options, but no health insurance coverage will be offered to interns.

Where will my internship be?

Campus internships are available at all of our locations in Oklahoma.Central internships are available at our central offices in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

How many hours a week are expected?

Full-time internships will require 40 hours a week. Throughout the application and interview process, you’ll need to discuss all scheduling questions or concerns you may have. Your team will do everything possible to work with you to make sure you have a schedule that works best for you.

What does a typical week look like?

You will work five days during the week, and some evenings as needed. The weekends will involve serving at various worship experiences. Your coach will work with you on your schedule. Applicants must be flexible with their time.

What are the dates of the internship?

Spring Semester Start Date: March 2026 (Application Deadline: January 2026)

Is the internship full-time or part-time?

Both! Full-time interns get some great benefits! Such as…Hourly pay for 40 hours a weekSpiritual, personal, and professional leadership developmentExposure to hands on ministry experience 1-1 coaching Summer interns enjoy a similar, condensed, and unpaid experience that only takes place in the summer from May-August at all of our locations.

Can I work at another job during the internship?

Yes, as long as the hours worked do not dramatically interfere with your internship, physical health, mental well-being, or spiritual health.We do offer flexibility with scheduling in these circumstances.

What are the basic requirements for interns?

Due to the nature of the institute’s ministry consisting of 5 local campuses in the Greater Tulsa area, each resident much have their own personal vehicle and cell phone for the duration of the internship. A personal vehicle and cell phone is required. All interns must agree and adhere to Battlecreek Church’s internal and external core values, code of conduct, and consent to a background check. All

interns must be aged 16+ for the summer internship* and 18+ for the full-time internship.

What would I do about housing?

Interns are ultimately responsible for finding and providing their own housing. If you need housing, the BattleCreek team you are assigned to will help assist you in finding housing during your internship, but it’s not guaranteed.

What is the length of the internship?

Full-time internship is 6 months. Summer campus internships are nine to 12 weeks long (May-August).
